Nice idea. Looks good.

A few things come to mind

- Did you seal the wood up properly so it will not absorb water?
- Is the base designed so it will not kill someones legs with that board across the front of the seat?
- Is it high enough on the base so the person sitting there has enough room to sit normally or will their legs have to be out straight?

Wood sealed, seat tested as I went. Not the most comfortable seat but the middle seat never is. Carpet is marine grade. I usually only go out with one other person so I figured it could use more cup holders. If the seat is not in use then it becomes extra storage space and arm rest. It sits higher than the other seats, had to sit higher to clear back deck. I could make the front board on a hinge as well so it could unfold when someone wants to sit on it. Its heavy enough that I do not have to bolt it down and I can take it out whenever I need to.
