i am fishing tomorrow and i filled my trolling 2 deep cycle batteries up to about half the way up the little slits in the cells. i have a cabellas dual onboard charger that gives 8 amps between 2 batts. after i plugged them in to that charger (both at the same time) they lost some fluid at the beggining of the charge. Maybee i overfilled em im not sure. was wondering if this might have hurt em any? like did i loose any acid out of them? they been plugged in to the same charger the whole off season and kept charged.

Battery cells need to be completely covered with
electrolyte.
It sounds like you may have boiled them if they
were on a charger since last season without a monitored trickle
charge. Or automatic charger.

You didn't cause any damage you just need to carefully clean up with baking soda and water.
don't get any in the batteries.Never fill a battery before charging just be sure the plates are covered.Top it up after charging just to the bottom of the fill hole.then top up the charge.
they sell battery fillers that top up to just the right amount.Neat no spill operation.
