650 is fine. In case you was wondering, 375 cca (Cold Cranking Amps) or 475 mca (Marine Cranking Amps) is the minimum.

thanks don gearing up almost ready. that nucklehead thats got the boat was told to change bellows and shift cable...he said they were fine. but he could not get drive on as cable was bad..i should get boat back monday.-tuesday. they have that battery on sale here for $45 . i was going to run 2. i might need 3 or 4 to pump water out if he did something wrong..rip my bellows etc. i have no faith in him. my friends are flying in for the weekend in a hour my buddy is ase certifed cadillac mechanic. and i have general experence. i dont even want to talk about it as. hes been at the same dealer sine 1979 and is 45 yrs old. he doe's it like you say. make the proper time to do it right so he does not have to do it again
thanks alot don sorry about the long reply but i wanted to keep you posted as you have helped me alot. supernova said he will change the gears and i will do the bellows like you stated last week

Bob,.........

You can do Better at Sears, or Wally World, or an Auto Parts store, say NAPA, or about Anywhere besides West Marine...........

Lots of places will sell you a Marine rated Battery,.......Not that I think that's even Necessary,.......

About Any Good Quality Battery that's rated at 650 or Higher will probably do you just Fine,.......
I look for the Highest Amp Hour ratings I can find for the Dollars Spent,+ Judge by that,......
The Higher the Amp Hours,.....
The Longer it'll run the Bilgepump, with the motor Dead..............:D

Good Luck.............;)
