Battery Question

I have a 1989 Wellcrat Eclipse 233. I need to purchase batteries for the boat but am unsure what batteries to buy or how many. It looks like it has 3 sets of battery cables but I am unsure as when I got the boat it did not have any batteries in it. The boat has a 5.7 350 V8. Any help is greatly appreciated.

3 sets of wires may be for two batteries with a battery selector switch...

Any pictures?

one starting battery and one or two deep cycles for lights n such
I have twin engines with 1 start n 4 deep cycles btw

I will take some better pictures tomorrow and post them. I notice that one side has positive and negative lines and the other just has the positive.

ok ur set for two banks... pos and neg to one bank and pos to the other with a neg jumper from bank on to bank two (look for a short black cable not hooked to anything,)

The reason I say bank instead of battery is that each bank can consist of one or more batteries tied together with pos and neg jumpers
