Battery selector switch sizing

Going through a new to me 2001 Stingray 240LS with a 5.0l mercruiser. Has two group 24 marine starting batteries (2 years old) with a perko 8501 medium duty switch. My limited understanding of the switch rating is that this switch is undersized.

I have no idea how long this switch has been in place, it appears to function correctly.

Am I correct in thinking it is undersized? If it is undersized is the solution switch replacement? Any recommendations on switches other than perko?
Thanks

What are the symptoms your trying to resolve?

The unit is rated 250 amp Continuous, 360 Amp 5 Mins. Intermittent.

Should have more than enough to crank a motor in decent condition.

No symptoms. Was trying to verify that it was sized correctly. Was think battery size dictated needed load rating, but was ignoring that the starter is the actual largest amp draw not what batteries could supply.
