does anybody know what the smallest battery i can use with a 25hp johnson electric start, no other draw eceppt the starter, and what color wire is the chrger one coming from the motor
A group 24 would work fine. Charging occurs through the positive battery cable. It connects to the starter solenoid and the charging wire attaches to that same post. No need to run a separate wire back to the battery.
