In a small, 16-18' CC, like a Palm Beach, Key West or Key Largo, can you install pedestal seats, so that you have more than the seat behind and in front of the console?

&, I notice some for sale in salt water have anti-fouling paint and some do not. What's up with that?

Not without a heck of a lot of work while compromising designed usage in the process.

If your goal is a people hauler there are better designs out there

No need for bottom paint on a boat kept on a lift

So, you're saying you can't put a base and pedestal seat in the "lower" deck. I see some with a pedestal seat in the front top deck. I also see some that have pedestal seats in the lower deck, but not many.

Bottom paint . . . boat will be left in the saltwater canal 3-4 months a year. No lift.

I like the open design of the Palm Bay, Key West and Key Largo CCs.

If you were buying a used "people hauler", for canals and bay, what would you look for?

Just to be clear, are you saying seat bases, and pedestal seats could not be place on this open deck in front of the console, or behind it for that matter?

I could see two in each location, and still have an open concept.

Am I missing something, structurally?
