Bayliner 2455 Tie downs - HELP!

Just upgraded from a 18' to a 24' Bayliner. Broker said it didn't need to be tied down because it's so heavy. A little nervous about it. Is it really OK to not tie down a boat this size?
Thanks in advance for your responses!

If you scaned down, you would have seen someone else asked the almost exact question hinting to "the boat is heavy". From the broker, that is a poor excuse for lazieness. You must secure your load! Their are PLENTY of strap options for your boat be it ones that go to the stern eyes or long straps that go over the entire boat (or both). In addition to the winch, you must also secure the bow.

yeah, this topic has been beat to death. If it were my boat, I would be using at least transom tie downs and likely another ratchet strap midship

I tried to search for other similar topics beforehand - couldn't find any. Thanks for your responses.
