Bayliner Drainage

Hi guys, I have a 95' 1704 SF Bayliner. Does the drain in the storage area between the seats drain into where the bilge is? Mine is plugged and I was wondering if I can drill from the drain plug on the back of the boat into the hole w/ !/2" bit or so, long shaft or extension into the storage area without doing any damage to anything, like the gas tank. Or what do people suggest for this repair.

Thanks, Dave

Re: Bayliner Drainage

There should be a limber hole to allow the ski locker to drain. Sometimes sloppy work right at the factory results in fiberglass partially plugging the hole. Debris then completes the clog. I would start with something a little less aggressive than a drill, like a screwdriver. Work from inside the ski locker.

Re: Bayliner Drainage

Just jam a coat hanger through it and then flush it.
