We beached lightly today to get out and clean the boat. It was fairly hard clay and the outdrive ended up settling into it a bit. Took me a little work to get the boat free.

Once underway everything is working fine but the trim gauge is WAY off. When it says it is trimmed all the way down there is really about 25-30% travel left. If you trim it all the way down then by the time the needle starts moving on the guage when you trim it up it is too far

Something is obviously now out of calibration as a result of the outdirve hitting the clay. All meachincals are working perfect otherwise, it trims in and out fine and the boat works great

How can i fix this

Inspect the trim sender arm, debri, mud, a stick, ect could have it fouled. It's mounted on the back of the leg somehwere, actually I believe it's on the transom bracket and the indicator arm contacts the lower unit.
