just tore my engine down to replace all the gaskets as they where original and most where leaking,upon taking it apart i found a crack almost all the way across my top end bearing on the crank so i got a new one and removed the entire crank to inspect the other bearings and races,they where ok but i cant remember which way the main and top bearings where installed?meaning if the hole in the bearing races were placed right over the oil/fuel ports coming out of the block,or oppisite them??i think i've got the spool on the bottom end of the crank on right,i have the side that says front facing towards the front of the engine"carb end".guess maybe i should have payed better attention.any help would be much appreciated,the engine is a 83 chrysler 55hp.
