I have a 1994 Mercury 115 and when the key is on it beeps, it sounds like a trash truck backing up. I changed the oil tank and it still beeps. I disconnected one wire from the sensor in the oil tank and it still beeps. I diconnected both wires from sensor and it still beeps. I have bridged the terminals from the sensor, still beeps.the sensor ohms out as open. The only way i could get it to stop, was by disconnecting the ground wire from the module, where all these wires connect. The waterpump is working. I am just not sure if its getting oil to the gas, but it starts and runs good.

Re: Beeping from throttle

have you purged "ALL" the air from the tank under tha cowling? Losten the cap and run the engine at Idle untill a slight amount of oil leaks out, then tighten the cap and wipe excess oil off.
You didnt mention the year of the engine. This may only apply to the newer engines.

Re: Beeping from throttle

I'm sorry, the year is 1994 and I changed it on the add. I have a manual oil pump and I did loosen the bleeder valve and let some run out. I am afraid to let it run too long, because of maybe no oil.Thank you!

In Gods Service,
server

I think I will start premixing the fuel, so now I just need to wire around the sensor for the oil, so the temp sensor will still work. Thank you for your imput!

In Gods Service,
server
