Hi there. Getting ready to put my drive back together and noticed that I'm missing the

Bell Housing Bumper merc part # 63679. It's NLA.

It attaches to the lower part of the bell housing and acts as a bumper stop I think between the bell housing and gimbal ring.
I suspect there's a lot of drives out there without them.

Any downside to leaving it off and running without it, or should I put a bumper of some sort there?
thanks

I don't see a big issue, your trim cylinders take the loads. Only time it would come in contact is when taking off and have it tucked in.

^^^ If not, Looking at what the stop actually looks like, it don't seem like it would be that hard to make something up on your own.;) Let us know what you come up with. http://www.bing.com/images/search?q=rubber+stops&FORM=HDRSC2

Thanks guys. I think I'll try and adapt something as FT suggested.
I managed to drill out the old mounting stud and chase it with a 1/4 fine tap.
I'll post what I find although it might get moved down the list of ttd.
