Bennet Trim Tabs with Automatic Control

Hi,<br /><br />I wonder if anyone uses the Bennett Automatic control system with their trim tabs. How does it work and is it better than making many manual adjustments. Does it really do what it says it will??<br /><br />Thanks

I have Bennett trim tabs but do not want any automatic controls. I rather adjust myself.<br />Running on a glassy smooth lake at sunrise I let the bow ride high and free for best speed with small power.<br /><br />However if a big boat ahead makes a sharp turn to pick up a skier ahead I will lower the bow for best wave cutting position.<br /><br />In bigger waters and ocean I adjust different on every day. Setting for best ride first then best fuel mileage.

Well, you know how I feel about this ( http://forums.iboats.com/cgi-bin/ubb/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=1;t=015215 ), and I can highly recommend the Mente system.<br /><br />Whichever system you choose, it can make your ride much smoother with much less effort. There's also always the option of shutting it off and going to manual control should the conditions call for it.
