I have been going between two SWS props trying to figure out the best for my motor 03 F225 Yami.

One prop ( 15 3/4 - 15P) gives me a on plane cruise about 4200.
One prop ( 15 3/4-17P) give me a on plane cruise around 3900-4000

They both give me the same WOT 5800.

Just wondering what is best for the motor..?

The prop that brings you on plane first is best. But, I don't believe that you still don't have enough prop. 5800 rpms is just under the rev limiter and shows that your motor isn't doing all the work it can do. I would go to a 15 3/4 by 19 or even a 21. You'll probably find that your boat will plane around 33-3500 and pull down around 5500 rpms while going faster and getting a little better mpg.

Whats wrong with 5800 rpm? Never looked at specs. but just where do you get max HP. and torque on that 4 stroke? Guess you can run it constantly on the governor but am sure it will last longer if you pull the throttle back a bit but then again they are cheap to repair or replace.
As for best cruse RPM, you will find it the more you use it. Everything will come together and you will feel or sense the right RPM for conditions or load. Use to hear the term, ON THE CAM. regards FRED

I had tried a 15 3/4 x 17P and my WOT was only 5200... so I sent it back for a 15P

My local Yami daels told me 5800 at WOT was perfect?
