clockwatcher - good point. I'm still not sure what to lube, grease, tape and/or otherwise coat with a oily substance. Need to get those on the list as well.

That kind of information would be found in the special tool knows as an OEM Service Manual. Which is probably the most important special tool any new, inexperienced boat owner could get.

I get TWO new pairs of shoes.

Sounds like some good reading for me - just got the motor and outdrive manuals. Hopefully I won't have to pay for those shoes!
