Best place to buy...

1. I have a monterey 242 with a bravo3, a chevy 305 and a 2v Carb. (220bhp)
2. Looking to up the off idle throttle response and possibly add a couple of MPH.
3. Can anyone provide links to some good prices on Carbs / Intakes?
4. Any suggestions on the carb type/size?
5. Any suggestions on the intake type? (dual plane / single / riser etc)

I guess the year doesn't matter, or they type engine, right? V6, SBC, Big Block?

Ayuh,........ I think the "a chevy 305" narrows it down to a SBC,......
But,......
The Vintage is going to be Very Important for some meaningful answers.......

At this point,.....

Q#4,........ The Edlebrock Performer is a Top Canidate, in the 600/650cfm size........

Q#5,........ A Dual Plane is a Must on a boat motor,.....
A High Rise Dual Plane might be a Good Choice.......
But,... It depends on some Other unanswered Questions.........

Its a 1998 305.
The boats cruises the great lakes. It will prolly never see saltwater. Is the Edlebrock performer a marine intake? Is it Aluminum?

What sites have good prices?

I have had great luck with these guys.

The performer is aluminum AFAIK. I use it on my 350 and it works well. I do have fresh water cooling though.
You will only want a dual plane plane manifold to maximize torque.
