best top side paint help

hello i need some info on the best top side paint for my carver .

i need to paint the top half about 10 inches wide. and a 6 inch wide streek above the water line.
i want to use a roler and tip with a good brush. thanks

If the location has already been painted, you need to know the type of paint that was used previoulsy. If it was epoxy or it is gel coat now, you may us several different types of paint.

Epoxy is the best and will outlast one part paints. Many here use Interlux Perfection and get great results useing the method you want to use. I was stuck using a one part paint because my boat had an existing coat of one part paint. It came out well, but from the results I have seen posted, perfection is the way to go.

thanks after going back to the boat today i wet sand and use a rubbing compound then wax man this thing looks great.

all i need to do now is put on some pin stripe with tape.

do i have to clean the area the pin stripe tape will sit?? may be clean with some acetone thinner. thanks

Just do some car pinstripping, and let them worry about it..
