My buddy has a 98 GSX that we just got running and the starter went out. Is this a major job,,I know that it looks like the exhaust needs to come out which looks like a chore. Any and all info much appreciated.
go from behind the starter with long extension. basically you have enough room to go between the motor and the pipe you shoudl have enough space to get sockets in there. its a pain but it beats removing the pipe.
Also dont forget you have one but sometimes two small 10 mm bolts on the back of the starter that hold the back end bolted to the block
