I have recently "inherited" a large inflatable/towable to use behind our ski boat. It is one of those 5 person "water weenies". This particular one is 20+ years old and is in fairly decent condition. The main problem is where a crease has been made when it was folded over and then rolled up for storage there is what looks like a crack and a very slow leak. I am sure that it would not be too difficult to patch except that the "crack" is about 18 inches long. I want to make a repair that will last a long time, but I am not very experienced in these sorts of things. I am not sure of what the material that it is made of or if that even makes a difference in how to repair it. I do know that the material has a smooth shiny like texture and it was made in the '80s. I will try and post some pics of it tonight. I have read some "mixed reviews" about some paint on type products like liquid rubber, but I would rather not add a ton of weight if it could be avoided and I also want a "good" repair that I don't have to spend a ton of $$ on.
Thanks for any help you can offer...
