bilge fans(blowers)

l was wondering if there is difference wether your fan sucks from the bilge and exhausts out the vents or the othe way around???
our sea ray suckes from the bilge and our bayliner blowes fresh air into the blige. any thoughts on right, wrong, or door #3 that makes no difference as long as air is circulates

should suck from bilge, you fan is either wired backwards, swap the wire. it is a dc motor swaping the wire will make it suck.

tks tash;no problem swiching just wasnt sure which way was right.
it seemed to me that as you stated ,sucking would be better but the only reason l could think of to back this up, was if a fire did occure and the fan blowes into the bilge it would feed fresh air to the fire. allso a sucking fan would pull fumes out and off the boat not push them around and into **** pit area
