Sorry for the long post.
I am still wet behind the ears(no pun intended) when it comes to boats. I recently got a 1995 195BR. My Father in law took us out in it before he gave it to us and all was good. Outside of some vinyl ripping gloss fade and some of the wood on the ski locker door being soft, it is a good boat.
Today we put the boat in the lake with some friends and met at an island to let the littles play and enjoy the water. While the boat was sitting we noticed some water had gotten into the boat, figured from people getting in and out of it to get drinks food etc.
Turned the ignition on to run the bilge, only a small amount of water came out. We started seeing some water pooling by the back seats /engine cover and pulled up the ski locker doors to find it completely full. Yes the transom plug was in and so was the rubber ski locker plug. I'm getting a new one of both just out of cya.
Then we decided it was too much risk to have water so we got back to shore and drained the transom plug and it drained for 3-4 minutes solid but the ski locker wasnt draining. Is that connected to the transom plug?
Anyways sorry for the long post .
How do I check the bilge for operation? How about the fuel tank sender, the gauge shows 1/2 but when the engine starts, it sputters out.
