Has anyone ever used bilgekote enamel by interlux over epoxy ? they tell you to contact service dept for epoxy or metal use , just wanted to see if anyone had used it, before I spend forever on hold . Thanks for the input ! JJB

If you are doing the engine room of a boat it is more than likely polyester resin, not epoxy. Read their directions for application over previously painted surfaces. They recommend the use of their BL 333 but you can use any medium to fast reducer - might save a buck or two. The biggest cause of failure is not getting a proper bond ( dirt ) so clean it good. If indeed you do have an epoxy finish you will need to sand and prime with an appropriate primer. Epoxy will not allow a good bond to most other products. It's a molecular thing. Wear a good respirator !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
