I need to replace my Bimini Cover Straps by this weekend. Anyone know of a Local Place in Phoenix, AZ that sells Bimini Straps. I know I can order here on IBOATS but I need them ASAP.

Thanks.

Do you need just the straps, or all the hardware too? If you just need the webbed strap, a local upholstery or canvas shop should have it, or be able to point you in the right direction.

Be aware you have to make the loops at the frame and sew them yourself ;)

The Wallyworld ones had the loops sewn into the ends. Loop them over the Bimini frame, put the end of the strap thru the loop, and cut to length...

This is starting to sound complicated. Maybe I should just take it into a shop and have all the straps replaced. Thanks.

Complicated? Not at all....VERY easy to replace. I bought mine from eBay and if you have the guy ship them Next Day, you can have them in possesion and installed by this weekend.

I'm thinking like these:

Don't you have to take the bimini frame apart to get these onto the bows?

Yes, but it's not hard to do at all. I just replaced mine two weeks ago.....very simple. I used the same looking straps you are showing in the image.

QC, The ones the bimini came with were simply looped thru the eye. I suppose you could take the frame apart, however, it doesn't look bad.

Ok I found a shop that will take care of me. I may pay a little more than DIY but atleast It will get done correctly.

Thanks.

Getting it now. Seems like all three methods can work. Loop the loop (simplest), Sew loops into blank ended straps (some work), Take apart the frame (more work, but cleanest) . . .

This is why I chose to take it to a shop. Less hassle for me.

I have nothing of value to add other than this thread has a lot less potential than the one titled "Bikini Straps Replacement" which for some reason is what I keep reading when I see this one.

Good idea. Since David (OP) has resolved his problem, would it be considered high jacking his thread to change the title per your suggestion......????

No, but it might require more of my undivided attention . . . for a variety of reasons ;)
