Any thoughts on how to best cover a 12 x 8 foot deck that will be used for fishing on a cabin cruiser?
Right now I have a convertible top that works only covers about 5 feet of the deck right over the cockpit. The problem with this top is that you cannot stand up fully straight under it and going fast into a strong breeze can sometimes collapse it unless I have a flap up front unzipped.
I intend to either use two slightly staggered bimini tops in lieu of the convertible top or a convertible top and a bimini top for the rear portion of the deck. How well would a tall bimini top hold up to 65+ MPH relative wind?
The only real benefit I see to a convertible top is that it also keeps the wind and waves off of you. This is not too much a concern for me. It's the sun I want to get rid of.
Does anyone know where you can get one of those machines that always places a big fluffy cloud right over the sun?
