Bimini Top Tracks (confused)

I'm looking to put top mount tracks on my CC. I was looking in the iboats website and contacted them to see if the slide track fittings would work with the tracks they sell. Good thing I did. To my surprise they told me NO. They sell Westland tracks and Seadog fittings. According to the e-mail Westland tracks only use Westland fittings. And Seadog fittings only fit Seadog teacks.

You would think these things would be standardized and interchangeable.

As far as I could tell there was no way to buy both tracks and fittings from iboats.
