Took this thing to the lake last night. Last weekend I accidentally left a plug loose and had some issues idling. Tightened the plug back down and tried it out. Still having some idling issues but that is cable related I'm nearly positive.
When I give it throttle sometimes it does not want to take off too quickly sometimes it just shoots out of the water. Usually if I press the choke for a half second it gets up and goes. (I know that isn't right and would like to correct it)
Rebuilt the fuel pump last week but it didn't seem to help. Still has the same issue and sometimes seems to run out of fuel on the top end if I throttle back a little it picks back up.
Compression is 100-105 on my crappy China gauge. Its 125 give or take 1 or 2psi on a AutoZone rental gauge.
Carbs were thoroughly cleaned when I got the engine 2-3 weeks ago.
In checking the spark plugs I noticed a bolt came out not a head bolt but the water jacket plate? That is bolted in the center of the head. They were all loose a little and I snugged them each back up
Plugs were not wet with gas or water when I pulled them this morning but they dont look right to me. Maybe its just me any input would be awesome.
