Could be a siezing/siezed C/V joint inside the swivel housing or worn swivel pin bearings.

Easy for the workshop boys to check - disconnect both outer tie rod ends and turn each tyre from lock to lock, should be smooth and easy but with no freeplay. If one side is tight or binding, that's your problem.

OK, got a new tire, and they replaced the "steering gear", all seems right now.

I tell ya, I have had 2 blazers now, a '95 and now a '99 and I will not buy another one. This thing has nickle and dimed me to death!!!

The '95 was 10 times better than this newer one, but I still had issues with fuel pumps, tranny lines leaking as well as collant leaks, just a money pit. I am all for Chevy trucks, thats what I drive myself, a '96 K1500 4x4 w/350 and that is one tough truck, still on the original front end at 180K miles, have plowed with it the last 3 years, just passed maine state insection with flying colors and runs and drives like the day I bought it. Her '99 Blazer is a peice and will soon be replaced :(

end of rant sorry but I wanted to express my concerns with these blazers :(
