2 years ago I was sick as I could be. Puking, constant diarrhea, hot flashes felt miserable all the time. I went to the Dr they did blood tests figured my ferritin levels were sky high, my blood was all messed up. They did a scan of my liver, told me my liver was stage 4 with fatty liver. Stage 4 gives you about 10 years if you are lucky. I followed Dr's orders on the diet and drinking. I also did my own research and started taking milk thistle, zinc, and Ningxia red juice every day.

I have been going to the Dr every 3 months for blood tests and my blood chemistry as of last Monday was in the normal range, all my blood tests were normal. After my appointment on Monday my Dr said your blood is all good but know that your liver will never be normal again. I got the results from my latest scan yesterday. My liver is at 1-2 meaning I have some scarring but nothing like it was, no cirrhosis. Dr told me two more ultra sounds and 1 more round of blood tests and I will no longer be in the liver protocol.

With discipline and exercise, that 1-2 score will be 0 hopefully in the near future. I love proving the medical field wrong and having a horse shoe up my azz.

When I got the initial diagnosis, I told my wife do not worry till you see me worried. I donated blood to get my ferritin down, I intend to continue to donate. It is nice to know that everything else is good I quit counting after over 50 test procedures, blood draws, etc. Upper and lower GI clean.
