The Hideout NEVER gets snow twice in the same year. . .well, until today.

About 3" on the ground, visibility 2/10mi, wind about 40, 34 degrees and dropping.

This is one reason I left Minnesota. I will be forbidden to travel to visit tomorrow, even with the Subaru. :(

As someone who has the utmost respect for all things Texas, and JB himself, I must admit to scratching my head a bit at JB's description of a "Blizzard".
3" of snow, 40 MPH wind, 34 degrees?....nice afternoon for a walk around here....;)
Guess not everything is bigger and badder in Texas...:D

Hope you do get out and around tomorrow. Best of the season!

Well, it is about 6" now and still blowing about a lot. Blizzard is what the weather guys called it. They are showing a lot of video of vehicles doing triple Axels and toe loops on the freeways.

Consider how things would be in Ontario if it were 115 degrees F in the shade.:)

Better get out the SPF 60. that's about 18 degrees better than here. Downright bawmy! Blizzards like that make for great windsurfing. Ho Ho Ho, Santa's heading for the beach. MERRY CHRISTMAS

HAHA, Blizzard...

We just got 2' of snow with 50-60 mph winds. But then I have a 4wd tractor with a FEL and grader on the back, so digging out is easy peasy!

We got that too. We had wind just unbelievably strong. It went from 70 to 40 in a couple of hours. No snow here but someone near here was killed when a Tree fell on his house. Lots of straight line wind damage!!

Re: BLIZZARD in TEXAS!!!

we had a little more than 1 foot and a half up here. it is hard to tell with all the drifitng. But the offical tally was 20 inches i think. But it was a real fluffy snow. we had drifts up to my side view mnirors, after plowing out the lane.
