One day the blower for the heat/AC stopped working on my wife's 02 toyota celica. Just like that, one day it worked fine and one day nothing. I checked the fuses and nothing bad. There is 2 relays under the hood marked "blower1" and "blower2". Im not sure if those are for the blower for the AC or the blower on the radiator. Eather way i pulled both of them and they look new but you cannot see inside of them. They are just boxes with plastic around them. Is there a way i can figure out what my problem is other than just throwing new parts at it? I think the blower motor is under the passenger area where the the passenger's feet would go. Kinda up from there like up under the dash somewhat. I might have kicked a wire loose or something but its hard to see up under there. I can see the base of what looks like a motor though. Any help would be great. THANKS!!!!!

Pull the glovebox.

Since it stopped all at once....... I have my money on a clog in the blower fan. You would be amazed on what gets inside and what rodents will build in there. Make sure the fan cage turns freely.

That would be the place to start.

find the blower motor, with the heater on and motor speed set to high, lightly tap the motor with a hammer, if it's the motor 90% of the time they will start and run, if it does you need a motor, it will quit again
if it does not start prob the wire for 12v with the motor speed set to high, if you have voltage you need a motor

As a general rule when dealing with any electrical issue you need to first check for current. The possible blown fuse/circuit breaker . broken connection should be eliminated before you start taking anything apart. Get a test light and start tracing down the power supply. Alot easier to do this first.

Thanks a lot guys im going to go and see now whats up. We get a little air by setting the thing on outside air. But thats only when we are driving and when the air is forced in to the car. When we crack a window it comes in a lot more. Once again thanks!! I can see the motor easily under the glove box. I hope i did not screw up a wire cause there was junk on the floor and i had to put my foot on top of all the junk. THANKS!!!!
