Blowing Out Carbs

I thought I read here someone recomending draining the carbs out then blowing compressed air through them to finish cleaning. He also had quit a few hours on his motor and never has had to have them rebuild.

Anyway my question is when blowing out a carb how much air pressure should you use or not exceed?

I am not sure I would put compressed air into the fuel delivery side to blow them out while still on the motor. You can open the drains and pump the bulb to help flush the stuff out of the bowls. But to clean properly use compressed air when carbs are completely apart and you are trying to make sure the passages are clear.

Thanks 99Yam, I may have misread what the article stated. Read alot of stuff to get more educated about these motors etc.
