This can't get any worse.
I just took my boat to the shop to trace my "fuel problem" and they told me my #6 cylinder is dead and I need a new powerhead or motor. If I decide to keep this boat, what is my best option? I believe my available options are either a rebuild, new powerhead, or new motor. I can't afford any of these right now, so the most cost effective method would be best. Would rebuilding this ourselves be a bad idea? What do shops normally charge for rebuilds? Any ideas, experiences, or opinions would help. The motor is a 2000 150hp vmax hpdi.(vz150tlry)
