thanks for taking time to read my post,i have a 1989 mariner,75hp. serial no.b371712,2 holes in block,both top cylinder.is it worth 1500.00 to replace powerhead,seems i can get one here for that much minus the 300.00 core charge.thank you very much for any responce,,rob w

Always remember, core charges are only for rebuildable engines. If you have non repairable holes in your block, bad crank etc, you will not receive your core charge back or they will only return a portion of the charge.

thanks capt ken.can you tell me where i might get a few dollars for motor as is.surely the lower unit and tilt and trim are worth a few bucks. thank you

Parting it out on eBay is probably your best way to get the most out of it. Or look on eBay for a powerhead.
