http://www.geocities.com/cpasseno/craigphoto2.html?1036353754720

this is a picture of my boat, the red one. I'm wondering if anyone knows anything about it?? I cannot find anything like it or anything about it. It is a Blue Star, made in miami oklahoma. My guess at the year is 1958. Everything red is aluminum, everything white is fiberglass. This is after a quick paint job, I am painting it again this spring as well as fixing any little thing that needs fixing. Even rebuilding the 1965 40 horse. Any ballpark guesses as to the value of such a boat, restored compeltely? Sure would appreciate any comments!
Email me if you want to know anything, or other pictures, passrdcc@nmo.net
Thanks
Craig
PS the other boat is a 1958 Chris Craft Roamer. 28 foot Steel hull, twin chevy 350s....for sale ;)

Re: Blue Star

The Gentleman who was the Sales Manager of Blue Star Boats, in Miami, OK.
was George Newman. In the late 50's he started Newman Boat Company, building fiberglass boats. Blue Star went out of business, however many of their boats are still in that area.

You might contact a Mr. Phil Follis, in Miami for info about the Newman boats. He was the Sales Manager in the 60's. He might just have literature on your boat.
