My '86 Volvo/Penta 19.5 foot Bayliner, Capri with the AQ131A engine , pulls very hard to the left with the more power i apply. I am not familiar with the control arm damping feature, is it adjustable or must it be replaced?
Also, the mount for the control arm cable seems loose at the engine side. It has a grease fitting so i assume it is ment to move a little seperate or same problem ?

I really appreciate your help,

D.B. Rich

What outdrive do you have?
The trim fin may be out of adjustment or missing.

The trim fin appears to be a solid cast on the bottom of the exhaust port. There are adjusments for the entire piece. I've never messed with this and this is a new problem.

Thanks again
D.B.

Item #4 below is the item that turns. It's not cast to the drives lower, bolt #5 holds it in place. It may have come loose, or something else may have changed. Different or damaged prop, other damage, maybe a planing fin of some sort added or removed. You are the only one that knows that, But that is how the adjustment is made so your steering doesn't pull.
