Boat Buying Decision - What would you do?

I would like to get an opinion on a boat buying decision. I’m currently choosing between 2 boats to purchase. Both are 2007 Proline Supersport 24’s that have the same basic features. They both have the Mercury Verado 250 engine. One has 179 hrs and the other has 330hrs but the power head was replaced at 200hrs (warranty fix). The one with 330 hrs is about $1300 cheaper and includes a trailer. The 179hr boat has no trailer (which I need) so overall about $3k more. Both motors have been maintained well with relatively no issues and serial number checks for both motors have been done. Is it worth spending the additional $3k for the lower hours (thinking in terms of resale)? Will have a pre-inspection done on either one I choose. Assuming all checks out which boat would you buy? Is 330hrs too many hours? Thanks

In my world the trailer is the deal maker, I would not want to mess with getting a new trailer fitted. This is of course if the one with the trailer has a good trailer fitted to the boat. The 330 hours is ok with me, and the rebuild at 200 seems to make the hours a wash anyway. Good luck!

to me it would be a no-brainer: the boat which comes with a trailer as the hours difference is really nothing when you consider it was re-build under warranty. Pick the one with the trailer up and go straight to boating.......

Always get the trailer, the hours at this point don't really matter! Googled it, nice looking boat.:)

Yea, both of those hours readings are fairly low, so not a big difference . . . lower price and trailer are the deal makers IMO, like the others have said.

You gave us an easy one to weigh in on :thumb:
