Does anyone have a suggestion as to what kind and where to get the spray foam for under the floor? I've ripped up the floor and beefed up the stringers with new pressure treated.

I'm fibreglassing the stringers this weekend and then foaming. Is this just for floatation or is there any structure involved?

It's a 1977 Silverline Nantucket. Also, should I foam up in the bow in from olf the gas tank?

Re: Boat Foam

Welcome to iboats.

Spray foam (the junk in the spray cans) does not belong in a boat.

2 part foam or foam boards will work.

Please use the search function and see MANY threads in reference to this.

Welcome to iboats, these are questions that have been beat to death here.
As far as foam being structual, it depends on the boat. A little research will here will give you a wealth of info on the topic

The foam to use is 2 part closed cell flotation foam, its a pour foam.

I believe it was Bob_VT that at one point had posted a great link from the US Coast Gaurd with regard to quantity and placement of foam from their boat builders handbook. I couldn't find his post but here is the link below.

With where to buy, they have it here at i boats, although they show it out of stock. US Composites has good prices on it too.

Hope that helps some, Good luck with your project
