OK, I got my boat off the trailer and onto blocks, see pics below. I am stripping the nasty anti-fouling paint on the bottom. When I have to move the keel blocks to paint those areas how hard is it to blend in the new paint? I want to use Interlux paints. Does it blend into previously painted areas well?

After 1st use,... You'll never see it...

Yeah, no problem. I barrier coated and re-painted my bottom and had the same concern. Just do it.

Great, then I won't even think about it.

The second question is: do I have to sand all the way through the cracks in the gelcoat? It is crazed and cracked from bow to stern and from what i've sanded so far on the transom it looks like the cracks go all the way through to the poly/glass. Seeing that I'm going to prime it next can I just sand it smooth even if the surface is crazed?

Well, I'm no expert but when I renovated the bottom of my boat, any chips, cracks or crazing were opened with a utility knife then filled with at least 2 coats of MarineTex.
Yes it took a bit longer but it was worth it. The hull was just about perfect when I painted it.
