Re: Boat Prep

Well Its Friday Night and I just got back inside after the Prep. It ready to go tomorrow morning. I have to give my wife more credit though. She doesnt give me all that much of a Hard time about the boat cleaning.

I have to always wash my boat after pulling it out of the water. We have these things calledl lake Mussles. Not sure what they are though but there are warnings on most of the lakes here.

Re: Boat Prep

that's one of the best reasons i've read to go out with a clean rig...

myself. i've got an old boat. it's not gonna look new. however i do clean it regularly. last year i started slacking a little bit. go out 3-5 time w/o washing the hull. probably do the same this year. mostly i boat in the same waters so i'm not transferring anything. we don't have them nasty creatures at our lake, yet. a lake over in omaha got fully drained this year though. it had them and dnr deemed draining the whole lake as the way to eradicate them. pretty exstream but ya gotta do what ya gotta do..
i do clean and vacuum the inside of the boat every time i go out. nice to have a clean interior to start the day out with..
she gets a full wax job in and out 1 or 2 times a year + 303 on the upholstry at the same interval. for sure end of year..
i do check eng. oil every outing. trim fluid and drive lub a few times a year. that's all the fluid i can check. old boats do have there benefits.. less gizmos... ;)
