I have a 40HP mercury with a tiller, the problem is that the tiller wants to pull to the left, turning the boat to the right. I know that this can be adjusted but I don't know which way to turn the tab.
Another question, my engine has a hydraulic cylinder mounted under it that is used to hold the engine in whatever position I put it in. It's not to trim motor, only to raise up or down, well this cylinder seems to have lost some oil & will no longer hold the weight of the engine. If I lock it in the up position it will slowly come down, is there some way to add oil to this thing or do I need to remove it for repairs?
