Most likely all the gas has evaporated in the carburator and the fuel line down to the pump. Possibly the fuel pump diaphram in it ripped in the first few cranks. Choke valve stuck open? If you pump the gas does any wet the inside of the carb or even smell fresh enough?

We need to know if you're using the recomended oil or synthetic.

Also does it have Smart Tabs or trim tabs?

This will clear things up for us.

Take off the t-stat housing. Do NOT put the lower unit in the water or hook up to muffs. Start motor and let it run until the temp gauge pegs. Shut motor off and pour ice water into the t-stat housing. This will clean out your engine and will make it run smoothly. Ignore any water leaks after that as they will fix themselves

Don't forget to take the drain plug out before launching, that model engine needs water to run at the proper temp.

Are you making fun of my name? How rude. I came here for help with my boat, not my surname.

I dont believe anyone is making fun of your name. Paratestis is really quite common and everyone has many in their family tree
