boat rivet repair

~~Okay I have the closed end blind rivets from Rivets online, however a concern I now have is as follows: When placing a bolt through the center two rivet holes and drawing the bolt tight it also draws the bow trim where it contacts the outer hull tight together. The concern comes in when a bolt is placed in either of the holes next to the ends that due to some sealer still being in underneath the bow trim on untouched rivets there is a slight gap next to those existing rivets where the bow trim will not draw all of the way tight.
I know typically people often put some epoxy sealer such as Loctite marine or Marine-tex to help seal the rivet. Still I am concerned that there is a slight gap in the bow trim between the new end rivets in the picture attached and the old existing rivets. This leaves me wondering if I should also use some caulk type sealant between the bow trim where it contacts the hull prior to fastening the rivets as well as putting the epoxy on the rivet itself prior to inserting it into rivet hole where rivet is being replaced.
Hopefully the description and picture Illustration is adequate to demonstrate the area of my concern. It is almost as if someone had put sealer of some type after a bow repair on the inside edge of the bow trim previously prior to re-riveting it to the bow of the boat. It would be impossible to remove all of it without removing the rivets and or removing and replacing bow trim and all of the rivets. Which of course I would prefer to avoid if at all possible. I have purchased Gluvit to use on the rivets and seam inside the hull after the existing rivets that were removed are replaced. Any input on this is as always appreciated!

This was a duplicate posted and needs picture and text deleted. Uncertain how to do that. Also the prior to posts one with just a picture need deleted as excess posts were made as a result of receiving apparent erroneous posting error notices, the post was re-posted several times in error.

You can shoot some 3M 5200 or Gluvit in there before installing the rivets if it's a horizontal installation where the sealer can run down into the crack. If it's a vertical or overhead installation where the sealer will run away from the crack it won't be any use trying to use a sealer.

If you do use the sealer be sure to clean everything up right after the last rivet is installed, the 5200 and Gluvit are a real pain to clean up after they set.

Okay thanks for the tips! In this case from the outside it would run downward if at all into the crack/seam. I do have some 3M 4000 UV Fast cure adhesive sealant in caulk tube form I could "squirt" into the outside edge of the crack/seam first and also mix a small amount of Marine-tex gray epoxy I have on hand and put on the rivet directly prior to installing it. Then excess "caulk" adhesive/sealant which can be used above or below waterline would squeeze out of seam and I could clean the excess off right afterwards.

Will have to check the product label to see what is best to use to clean excess off before it is set up. I have acetone and mineral spirits on hand and can get whatever else might be needed to clean-up excess afterwards. I can use the Gluvit on the rivets and seams on the inside of the boat. Though they said it can be used on the outside too but just needs UV protection such as UV paint afterwards whether on the inside of the bow seams or the outside seams.

Thanks again for your time and input!.

When I did my boat I just drilled them out .... they all had a small indent in the center of the head and came out easily. Then I used closed end blind rivets with some 3m 5200 sealant and no more leaks..... if the don't have the indent a small punch works well...
