boat shaking

hi all i have a sunrunner 225 22ft boat with an aq271 setup which is a gm350 with a 290 volvo duo prop. My engine runs awesome but my boat shakes like when im in the cabin and the engine is idleing theres a good vibration, so my question is what wouldl cause this and how would i fix it thanks guys!

Pull outdrive off and run water to engine. run it see if you still have vibration. If not its in outdrive. If you do check your plug wires you might have two or more crossed.

Start with the basics. Are you hittin' on all 8? When was the last tune up?

i would also check the plug wires as i had the same problem and found it was 1 of the plug wires was arcking through the rubber boot and was killing a cylinder, once i replaced the wire everything was all good so i replaced all wires and plugs and now it purrs like a kitten

thanks for the advice guys its weird though because the motor seems like its running good but ill get in the cabin and its vibrating pretty bad could it be loose motor mounts?? or if it is in the drive what would cause this? thanks!! and ill buy some new wires thanks for the advice!

If the cabin is the only place you notice it, it could just be a little resonance. Don't rule out the tune up etc, though.

I agree with 180shabah. If you don't notice the shaking/vibration at the engine itself it's just a little resonance. You can try using some Dynamat under the engine hatch or on some interior panels. They make product appropraite for both applications.
