Boat starts-then won't start

In his post #17 he says he recently had a guy come and look at it and that it started right up. So continuing to ask questions about cranking is kinda funny at this point. I am sure one of them knows if it started which negates the cranking questions.

Sure you put the shift lever in neutral when turning the key? Wouldn't be the first boater to assume a problem. It can be very simple.

When it does not start you still here the starter spinning the motor. I will talk to him about the possibility of a filter problem and see if that might be it.

And yes the shift lever is in neutral :)
