Hi:

I have a 2001 Sport Boat tandem trailer that is forcing one of the tires forward and is rubbing on the fender and locking up. Evidentally, it seems that the axle that the rim/tire/brake is on is slipping and might be damaged. Is this possible? It has a spline on the end of the axle.

If the axle is moving forward, I would say that the u-bolts are loose. There is really nothing else that can allow the axle to move forward.

Your post is kind of hard to understand. What do you mean by "the rim/tire/brake is on is slipping and might be damaged"? Also explain the "spline on the end of the axle" as this makes no sense either.

Take a picture. Have you had the trailer jacked up by the frame recently, if so then you probabally flipped one of the shackles at the balance bar.
