@Pascal, The 20hp Honda brand new weights 104lb. Thats still 6lb less then my 15 and just 20lb more then your 9.8. Not to mention Honda's supposed to have higher thrust and give Yamas a run for their money. If i ever buy that lightweight rib I am buying that honda. I think brand new they run between 3200 and 3500. I am sure its worth every penny

Johnnyrude, how big is your boat and is it a 4 or two stroke? I've been thinking of downsizing to a 6 for weight. I have a 1980 9.9 Johnson 2 stroke now. I can lift it no problem but wanted a newer 4 stroke. I know the 9.9 4 strokes weigh in close to 90. Not sure if a 6 will be enough though. I have the Saturn sd365.

it is a 365 class sib,
& that 6 HP is an old 2-stroke,
a 1968 Evinrude Fisherman 6 HP to be exact

if you are in the market for such a totally sweet outboard motor
and the Lake St Clair region is not too far out of the way for you
I will have it up for sale just as soon as I have the chance
to rebuild the fuel pump and carb using kits with ethanol compatible
components. Though it only weighs about 50 or 55 lbs, I prefer more
power as well as enjoy going faster than it will push my sib.
