I did some small spots on a sea doo watercraft and a nitro to finish the week. Nothing interesting, but I brought in this starcraft before I left yesterday.





Boss said they got hut by another boat and it landed on top of this side. The cupholder survived though...

This is the Boss's boat. He put this grill on this week. The swim platform was a damaged one I took off of a Monteray. He cut it in half, made it bigger, and added the texture.

That's why he put it by the edge, and he brings it in to clean after every use I think.

Anyway, I got a mold going for the Starcraft. Working on an old Hydrodyne deck boat while I wait.








The Hydro is getting repainted and textured, and some fixing of the rails. The stupid rail bases and cleats are bolted on, so just going to have to work around those.

Step one done. About five layers of csm to fill in the cut out. Tomorrow will be tieing it into the rest of the structure. Done with me laying inside glassing and the supervisor outside wetting and handing me the glass.

Step two done. 3 more layers of csm and one roving. Roving is in 3 pieces running vertically. Next will be another 2 mat and roving with the roving going horizontal. That one is gonna suck.





Not for a little while though, something came up. That something is.....VACATION TIME! A week off for me.

Alright, "vacation" over. I did the last bit of glassing today. Could've been worse, but I missed some air when I was rolling it. My goggles were so covered in resin by the end, I could only vaguely make out shapes and colors.

Bosses took off for El Dora for the weekend. A couple guys here are changing toons, and ran into this.

The steering cable runs through the toon bracket. I'm just going to turn the cable out of the steering box in the dash.

Sorry I haven't been keeping up with this. I've had other stuff on my mind, and have been forgetting to take pictures.

Anyway, events so far. After vacation, I did some spot work on an old ranger. Nothing exciting, so I didn't bother with pics. The only thing interesting is that somehow the axel got ripped out from under the trailer, no idea how.

I also just finished spraying the white on the Starcraft. I meant to take pics of the bodywork before, but again forgot. Hopefully the color matches decent.
