I used to manage autoglass shops on the condition of some of the 'nice' cars was mind boggling.

That spot on the crownline is mostly bodyworked. I'm going to sand all the paint and start buffing to see how much we'll need to spray.


Also, the old Tidecraft is getting put back together.

Here it is all finished. The color came out pretty close. A little off, could've used a touch more red. It sucked to match, tokk about all day and after all the tinting I doubled the amount of gel I started with.

I've been slacking on updates here. The current project is an Ikon, with cracks all over but I'm only fixing what's visible and previously "repaired". Six spots, all in tight corners, and with a dash with the least space ever to work in.

Interesting it’s got lots of cracks. I believe those Ikon bass boat only been around for a few years. Wondering if it’ll be a widespread issue.

It's not specific to ikon, it's any boat with these kinds of shapes. It's all in areas that I would expect to see cracks, tight corners and hardware mounting locations.

I'm finally about done masking up the Ikon. It's been one of those where we keep having to do more because I find more cracks where I need to spray.

Check this nonsense out though. 2019 Razer. The owner said it sits under a covered shore station all season with no cover. The floor is gone, stringers are pretty much shot, had shelf mushrooms growing in it, and some seriously stupid pvc setup to run cables through.



No drain outlet in these, they are full of water!

Yeah, from the looks I thought it was like '90s to early 2000s. The whole design is weird. The fencing/seating are just big fiberglass shells, weird step downs under the rear seats, the splashwell is a tub that goes over the flooring and is puttied in place, pull out cutting board with the logo engraved in (good luck keeping that clean), and a metallic gel which I have only seen one other time.







The owner likes it though. Good thing I didn't say what I thought of it before I realized it's his!
