I just wanna climb up under the shrink wrap and sit in my chair with a scoth and dream about spring. I CAN'T WAIT FOR SPRING!!!! I ice fish to get outta the house but it's not even close to being out in a boat. M.Y. you can always head to The Dinosaur for ome BBQ. Not as cool as Syracuse but the food is still great. We have Mo's here and it's not too bad. I have my own pit smoker but I need temps above -10 to get decent results :D

Kenny, I am surprised to here you say that. I don't consider my posts negative. I am just speaking my opinions based on my personal experiences. To you, the fact that I see no need to live in NY is negative. Because you are the only one to say that tells me that you are the individual with a negative attitude. If you were to tell me there was no way you would live in a back-woods low earning area like mine I would not think you were being negative. I would just think you don't want to live in low earning back-woods areas.

If you think I am always negative, thats fine, but I know that I am not. Don't be offended by my dislike of NY. I may not have been there, but it doesn't matter. I am from LA, you can't get a much bigger shyte-hole than that, and I have lived all over the world, in plenty of shyte-holes. I have learned in all my travels that big cities, no matter what the earning potential, are not where I want to be. My criteria for an ideal place to live is based on how much stress I have to endure to live there. Do I have to commute for an hour each way every day, do I have to worry about crime? Is there anything for me to do, and do I have to spend too much money to do it? You cannot know how many people live in my area that have taken large decreases in income to get out of the big city BS. They all are doing so much better. They have nicer houses here, can do more, can let their kids go out and play without fear of being abducted or worse. There are no muggings, no serial killers, no planes flying in to building here. There are no gangs, minimal drug problems, very few drunken bralws in the bars. Quality of life is what people are supposed to be striving for. If you are achieving the quality of life that you want, then that should be all that matters to you. Maybe you are envious that I can walk out my back door, down a set of steps, and get in my boat and ride off. Maybe you don't understand that I went without food and lived out of a car as a child for a period of time, so my values and what I appreciate might be a little different than yours, and it just may not take as much to make me happy as other folks who have lived more prosperous lives. You can keep your city, and I'll keep my little town, and that is that.

BTW, I'm republican...

Hry guys the topic here is "Boats snowed in", so lets keep with it eh!
I've just emptied half of a Glenfiddich bottle so am feeling no pain, but lets keep the posts going OK?
I'm liking what I've seen so far guys.
I've just taken the night off an have just seejn my grandaughter asleep in my wifes arms so I reckon I got every reason to be happy with the weather!
Honest to goodness it seem like every time this period calls round theres boats being covered and stored up for the winter. That has to be one of the best things for the next summer. I mean just think, no matter how much cabin fevor you get there's another spring and summer round the corner
You guys have it the best, out fishing every day throughout the spring and summer, not to mention the winter fishing through the ice holes. Heck you have it made I reckon./ I have to try it some time.
Ross

Your right Ross, let the trouble makers make their trouble, I'm done with it. I personally am ready for my snow to go away. It is fun, but when you plow it, it takes the fun away a little bit. I havn't quite wanted to do the ice fishing thing yet, our temps are unstable, but I do see plenty of people doing it here, especially this year. This is the first year in awhile that there has been ice on the water to fish from.

Well up here in western Wisconsin it is snowing again. I was able to keep my truck clean for 4 days. Boats covered in white stuff at my dads. Only 2 more months maybe three and the ice will be off the lakes. I watched fishing the other day and got glared at by the misses. Oh well if you can't do it think about it.
